Citrus Splash Margarita Mocktail

Citrus Splash Margarita Mocktail

Bright. Bubbly. Booze-free. This fresh take on the classic margarita blends zesty lime, juicy orange, and a splash of grapefruit for a tangy twist, lightly sweetened with agave and topped with lime sparkling water for that fizzy finish. Whether you go "no tequila" or opt for a splash of the zero-proof stuff, this mocktail brings all the margarita magic—minus the next-day regret. Salt rim optional, good vibes guaranteed.

Equipment

  • 1 Shaker

Ingredients

  • 2 oz lime juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 2 oz grapefruit juice optional, see note 1
  • 2 oz orange juice freshly squeezed or bottled
  • 8 oz lime sparkling water see note 2
  • 1 oz agave syrup see note 3 for alternatives
  • 2 oz alcohol free tequila optional – tastes great without!
  • fresh lime to garnish

Instructions

Salt Rim

  • Place the salt in a shallow dish, then run a lime wedge around the outside of your glass.
  • Dip the rim into the salt and then tap the glass gently to remove the excess.

Margarita

  • Place lime juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice (optional), non-alcoholic tequila (optional) and agave into a shaker with 3-4 cubes of ice.
  • Shake for 15-20 seconds then strain into your glass over fresh ice
  • Garnish with fresh lime and serve.

Notes

  • You can replace the grapefruit juice with orange juice if you prefer.
  • The lime sparkling water can be replaced with Limeaid, or any other lemon or lime sparkling water.
  • I prefer agave because this is what is used in traditional margaritas, but you can replace this with your choice of sweetener if you wish.
